Update from the Finance Director - 30.09.09

The finances for AusDBF are reported at each meeting and will be uploaded after the meeting to ensure transparency to interested parties. This is reported using analytical profit and loss / year to date format which allows for transparency and acts as a cash flow and historical data for the budget planning for the following year.

AusDBF works on a calendar year and the reports are audited before being tabled at the AGM. The AGM is set for April 2009 in Caloundra in Queensland when the board will meet with the members. A draft budget has been prepared for the 2009 calendar year however this may change when the 2009 three or five year Development Plan is finalised and we decide on how to fund the goals and key performance outcomes / indicators (KPI) or key result area (KRA).

The preliminary goals were set at the Boot Camp in Sydney in September 2008. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you even have any questions in regards to the finances.

Risk Management

  1. From the risk management framework, prepared the policy, procedures, templates, tools and work method statements - see posted under Documents and Policies 30.09.09
  2. Prepared training material to be used for training across Australia and have the training program accredited by the Australian Sports Commission
  3. Conduct the training

A risk management policy is completed and the template of the risk management procedures is currently posted under Documents and Policies (30.09.09). Risk analysis tools and work method statements will be prepared. The goal of this group was to present at least the first draft of the risk management strategic plan or framework, procedures and policy and tools to the members at the AGM.
