AusDBF is delighted to announce the following appointments:

  • Deb Moran (ACT) Director Marketing portfolio appointed as a casual vacancy until the AGM November 2021.
  • Zijing Chu (Vic) Director Digital media portfolio appointed as a Director until the AGM November 2022.

Deb brings proven marketing campaign experience and more than 20 years experience on sporting body boards.  She has been a paddler, State Coach and President of DBACT.  Deb combines her extensive creative marketing skills with a passion and desire to bring Dragon Boating to the forefront of the sporting arena in a time of great competition from other sports.  Deb’s extensive knowledge about Dragon Boating, coaching, paddling and being a small national business owner, equip her with the skills and knowledge to promote Dragon Boating to the greater community along with its stakeholders.

Zijing will be the youngest person to hold a Director position on the AusDBF Board. Zijing has been part of the Athletes Commission and Post COVID Marketing Working Group.  He is the co-founder of the Melbourne University Dragon Boat Club, (MUDS), has been a member of the DBV Prems and represented Australia as a Prem Aurora on four occasions.  Zijing has considerable digital expertise and a passion to solidify the AusDBF image and branding to attract more partnerships and sponsorships and thus grow the sport. “I wholeheartedly believe that Dragon Boating is a hidden gem ready to be discovered, and I will be the treasure map to guide athletes of all calibers to find their place in this wonderful community.”
