EOI for Athletes Commission

The AusDBF Board is advertising for a new member for the Athletes Commission. This vacancy has come about due to the move of Zijing Chu to the AusDBF Board. If you would like to be considered for selection on the Athletes Commission, please fill in the EOI form and return to your State body for endorsement by 28 March 2021. The State body will forward endorsed EOIs to the AusDBF Board. It is important that applicants address each of the criteria named in the EOI form.

Due to the interruptions caused to our 2021 AusDBF Australian Championships by COVID 19 restrictions, no qualification can be achieved. Therefore, AusDBF have decided that qualifications for 2022 IDBF Club Crew World Championships, Sarasota Florida USA will be as follows: All interested Clubs are to complete the EOI form (Memo 051) CCWC Qualification Form and return it to AusDBF no later than midnight Tuesday, 16 March 2021.

EOI for Auroras 2021

AusDBF is seeking elite paddling athletes from all age divisions and categories to represent Australia (the Auroras) at the 15th IDBF World Nations Championships (WNC). WNC will held in Hong Kong in 2021 from 1st to 7th November. in Hong Kong. Athletes are expected to arrive from 31st October 2021. AusDBF Marketing Director Role

The Australian Dragon Boat Federation (AusDBF) is seeking the services of a pro bono appointed director to guide the AusDBF Board to develop and execute a marketing strategy to support participation in the sport of dragon boating in Australia. This strategy will align with our mission statement ‘to connect more people with the sport of dragon boating across Australia’ . This position is for a two-year term.

AusDBF AGM + GM

AusDBF held its AGM+GM on Sun 22 Nov via video conference for the first time. Whilst Members missed out on face to face networking, There was plenty of opportunity for robust discussion amongst the AusDBF Members across a number of topics. Rex Tindal was re-elected for a 3rd term and Janine Lette was re-elected for a 2nd term. Ruth Bollard was appointed as a Director to develop the Inclusivity & Diversity portfolio. Janelle Gamble was honoured with AusDBF Life Membership.
