Marketing Director Role
The Australian Dragon Boat Federation (AusDBF) is seeking the services of a pro bono appointed director to guide the AusDBF Board to develop and execute a marketing strategy to support participation in the sport of dragon boating in Australia. This strategy will align with our mission statement ‘to connect more people with the sport of dragon boating across Australia’ and will incorporate our core values of leadership, accountability, inclusivity and transparency. This position is for a two-year term.
This exciting role will provide the successful person with the opportunity to lead our marketing group and provide advice and guidance to the Board and to a range of stakeholders in the Dragon Boating Community.
Your direct marketing effort will focus on the following goals:
- Increase and broaden participation in the sport
- Help make the sport more attractive to sponsors, in particular for Auroras (our high-performance national team) and AusChamps (our premier national championships)
- Make the sport more attractive to Government, particularly in the area of High-Performance grants.
